Asana Immersion - November
Fall - Upcoming Dates
November 3, 4, 5
December 1, 2, & 3
Fridays: 6pm-8pm Saturdays: 12:30pm-5pm
Sundays: 2:30pm-6pm
Are you looking for an opportunity to deepen your Yoga practice? Are you ready to explore asana, mantra, & meditation on the mat alongside a community of like minded seekers? Jesse Amesmith and Vanessa Airey are beyond excited to announce their inaugural 40 hour Yoga Asana Immersion, hosted at Tru Yoga Rochester.
There is SO much to learn about Yoga that doesn’t fit into a typical 75 minute class. This 4 weekend series will focus on why we choose to practice Yoga on the mat, and offer an increased understanding of how our own bodies move, and how our awareness expands & deepens through asana. There will be time for questions, discussion, partner work, & in depth explanations of poses, as well as access to an online forum where we can continue to connect between sessions.
Jesse & Vanessa designed this immersion so we can explore our edges safely, thoughtfully & have fun while we do it. A year or more of Yoga experience is recommended, but not required, so let us know if you are interested & have questions. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle or snacks (if you’re a snacker,) a yoga mat & a journal to write in.
Financial commitment - $200 to drop in to a single weekend, if space allows.

A Call Into Action
Spring 2024 - The Training
The hope is to bring specifically white yoga/fitness teachers, together to hold space for some processing of language, emotion, questions and concerns white people have who are trying to make the yoga world less racist. This will function as a set of foundational discussions in preparation for Y4GH’s intensive 2-day training.
Target Audience: White yoga teachers and studio owners--both those who plan to take Y4GH training and anyone interested in processing and deepening their embodied knowledge of their whiteness and its impacts on our society.
These discussions are also open to BIPOC folks but are intended to hold space for white people to process their reactions to their own racism on a somatic level so as to move us all toward being more able to engage deeply and without distraction in discussions of anti-racist practices and Black liberation.
